Genomsnittshastighetsmätning
Genomsnittshastighetsmätning, often referred to as average speed cameras, is a system used to enforce speed limits on public roads. Unlike traditional speed cameras that measure instantaneous speed at a single point, average speed cameras calculate a vehicle's average speed over a longer stretch of road. The system typically involves two or more cameras placed at known distances apart. When a vehicle passes the first camera, its license plate and the time are recorded. The same information is recorded by subsequent cameras along the route. By comparing the recorded times and the known distance between the cameras, the system can accurately calculate the average speed of the vehicle over that segment.
The primary purpose of genomsnittshastighetsmätning is to encourage drivers to maintain a steady, legal speed throughout
