Gemeos

Os Gêmeos, Portuguese for “The Twins,” is the Brazilian street-art duo formed by twin brothers Otávio Pandolfo and Gustavo Pandolfo. Born in 1974 in São Paulo, they began painting in the early 1990s and quickly became among the most prominent figures in Brazilian graffiti. Their work is characterized by large-scale murals and canvases featuring yellow-skinned, cartoon-like figures with elongated limbs, often dressed in striped clothing, set against surreal, dream-like backgrounds. The imagery blends elements of Brazilian folklore, hip-hop culture, and urban life, drawing on influences from folk art and comics. They frequently employ aerosol, acrylic, and mixed-media techniques, creating both public murals in cities around the world and gallery pieces.

Since gaining international attention in the late 1990s, Os Gêmeos have exhibited extensively in major museums
