Geiseltal

Geiseltal is a significant landscape area located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, notable for its geological history and transformation into a recreational zone. Historically, the region was characterized by extensive open-cast lignite mining, which dominated its landscape for much of the 20th century.
