Gavleån
Gavleån is a river in Sweden, located in the province of Gästrikland. It flows through the city of Gävle and empties into the Baltic Sea. The river has a length of approximately 20 kilometers and its drainage basin covers an area of about 500 square kilometers. Gavleån originates in the lake Storsjön, north of Gävle, and its course is characterized by a relatively gentle gradient.
Historically, Gavleån has played a significant role in the development of Gävle. Its waters were utilized for
