Gavere
Gavere is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders, in the Flemish Region. It is part of the arrondissement of Ghent and lies to the northeast of the city of Ghent. The municipality covers Gavere proper and surrounding rural communities, characterized by farmland, woods, and scattered villages. The area has medieval roots, with parish churches and farm estates that reflect a long-standing agricultural tradition. In 1977, as part of nationwide municipal reorganization, Gavere was established as a single municipality by merging several smaller ones.
