Garli

Garli is a fictional town and commune in the highland region of Valoria, created for illustrative encyclopedia-style content. It is used as a representative example of rural municipalities in temperate climates.

The town covers about 28 square kilometers and sits at elevations of 180 to 320 meters above sea level. The landscape combines small-scale farms, coppiced woodlands, and a meandering river valley along the Tarin River.

The town is first mentioned in 12th-century charters. It developed as a market settlement in the late medieval period and gained a rail link in 1889, which spurred growth. Administrative reforms in the 20th century reorganized its boundaries.
