Gabite

Gabite is a fictional character from the Pokémon franchise, introduced in the video game Pokémon Gold and Silver (1999) as part of the Johto region. Originally designed as a male counterpart to the female character Misty from the Kanto region, Gabite later became a Pokémon in the Pokémon series, specifically a Geodude-type Pokémon.

In the games, Gabite is a young trainer who joins the player after the player defeats the Pokémon League in the Johto region. He is known for his enthusiasm and determination, often using his Pokémon, primarily a Geodude, to challenge opponents. Gabite’s character design includes a red jacket, blue pants, and a yellow headband, giving him a distinctive look.

As a Pokémon, Gabite is a Rock-type introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver. It evolves from Geodude and evolves into Gabite itself upon leveling up at level 22, then further evolves into Garchomp at level 40 under certain conditions. Gabite is known for its strong legs, which it uses to deliver powerful kicks. Its abilities include Sand Stream, which creates a sandstorm, and Rock Head, which prevents recoil damage. Gabite is also featured in the anime series, where it is owned by a trainer named Gabite, who is later revealed to be a former rival of the protagonist Ash Ketchum.

In later games, Gabite has appeared in spin-offs such as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Conquest, expanding its role beyond the main series. Its design has been praised for its unique blend of rock and agility, making it a memorable addition to the Pokémon lineup.
