GTINperheen
GTINperheen is a term used within the GS1 system, a global organization that develops and maintains supply chain standards. GTINperheen translates to "GTIN family" in English. It refers to a collection of Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) that are assigned to a particular product but represent variations of that product. These variations can include different sizes, colors, quantities, or packaging configurations of the same fundamental item. For example, a t-shirt might have one GTIN for its red version, another for its blue version, and further GTINs for different sizes like small, medium, and large. All these GTINs would be considered part of the same GTINperheen because they all identify the same type of t-shirt, just in its various forms. This grouping allows for better organization and management of product data within supply chains, enabling businesses to track and differentiate between specific product variants more effectively. It aids in inventory management, sales reporting, and understanding product performance across its diverse offerings.
