GTExi
The Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project is a large-scale, publicly funded initiative aimed at understanding the relationship between genetic variation and gene expression in various human tissues. Launched in 2010, GTEx collects tissue samples from deceased donors across a wide range of ages and ancestries. Researchers then analyze these samples to measure gene expression levels and identify genetic variants, such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).
The core goal of GTEx is to create a comprehensive resource that maps genetic variants to their
The data generated by GTEx, including gene expression profiles and genotype information, is made publicly available
