GCSE A Levels are typically assessed by external examination boards in the UK, with two main providers being AQA (Assessment and Qualifications Alliance) and OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA). British universities generally expect students to achieve certain grades in their GCSE A Level qualifications to meet entry requirements.
