Förädlingsvärde, often translated as value added, is an economic concept referring to the increase in the value of a good or service as it passes through the production process. It represents the difference between the selling price of a product or service and the cost of the intermediate goods and services used to produce it. In essence, it measures the contribution of labor and capital in transforming raw materials or semi-finished goods into a more valuable final product.
