Förbränningsmotor
Förbränningsmotor is the Swedish term for an internal combustion engine. This type of engine converts chemical energy stored in fuel into mechanical energy through a process of combustion. The combustion occurs within a confined space, typically a cylinder, where a mixture of fuel and air is ignited. The rapid expansion of gases generated by the combustion exerts pressure on a piston, causing it to move. This linear motion is then converted into rotational motion by a crankshaft, which can be used to power various machines, most commonly vehicles.
There are several types of internal combustion engines, with the most prevalent being the spark-ignition engine
