Fázisirányított

Fázisirányított is a Hungarian term that translates to "phase-controlled" or "phase-shifted" in English. It refers to the principle of controlling the timing of a periodic signal, typically an alternating current (AC) waveform, relative to a reference point. This control is achieved by altering the phase angle of the signal.

In electrical engineering, phase control is fundamental to regulating the power delivered by AC sources. By adjusting the phase angle at which a semiconductor switch, such as a thyristor or TRIAC, turns on within each AC cycle, the effective voltage and thus the power supplied to a load can be varied. This method is commonly employed in dimmers for lights, speed controllers for motors, and in various power electronics applications where precise control over AC power is required without significant energy loss as heat, as would be the case with simple resistive control.
