Frostfalls
Frostfalls refers to a natural phenomenon where supercooled water droplets in the atmosphere come into contact with surfaces and freeze instantly. This typically occurs in sub-zero temperatures when there is moisture present, such as fog or light precipitation, and the temperature of exposed objects is at or below the freezing point of water. Unlike ice storms which involve liquid precipitation freezing on contact, frostfalls are characterized by the direct freezing of airborne moisture.
