Fresne
Fresne is a small commune in the Calvados department of the Normandy region in northwestern France. It lies within the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Le Hom, and it is part of the intercommunal structure of Cœur de Nocé. The commune covers an area of approximately 10.5 square kilometres and sits at an average elevation of 70 metres above sea level, with its lowest point at 45 metres and its highest at 135 metres. As of the latest census, Fresne has a population of just over 500 residents, giving it a low population density typical of rural Normandy.
