Frekvenciaváltozások refers to changes in the frequency of a wave. This phenomenon is fundamental in physics and has numerous applications. A common cause of frequency change is the Doppler effect, which occurs when the source of the wave or the observer is in motion relative to each other. As the source and observer move closer, the observed frequency increases (higher pitch for sound, blueshift for light), and as they move apart, the observed frequency decreases (lower pitch for sound, redshift for light). Another way frequency can change is through interaction with a medium. For example, when light enters a denser medium, its speed decreases, but its frequency remains constant, while its wavelength changes. However, in some non-linear optical phenomena, the frequency of light can indeed be altered. In signal processing, frequency changes are often intentionally induced for modulation purposes, such as in radio transmission where information is encoded by altering the carrier wave's frequency. Understanding frequency changes is crucial in fields ranging from astronomy, where redshift reveals the expansion of the universe, to medical imaging techniques like ultrasound, which rely on Doppler shifts to measure blood flow.
