Fourecks

Fourecks is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario, in 2006. The group consists of four members: Andrew Stewart (vocals, guitar), Matt McCallum (guitar, vocals), Ryan McCallum (bass, vocals), and Mike McCallum (drums). The band’s name is a play on the word "four" and the phrase "fuck rocks," reflecting their energetic and rebellious approach to music.

Fourecks gained attention for their raw, anthemic sound, blending elements of punk, rock, and pop with catchy melodies and politically charged lyrics. Their debut album, *Fourecks* (2007), was released independently and quickly drew a dedicated following. The band later signed with the independent label *Sire Records*, which helped them achieve wider recognition.

Their second album, *The Great Escape* (2009), marked a shift toward a more polished yet still rebellious sound, featuring singles like "The Great Escape" and "The World Is Yours." The band’s music often addresses themes of social justice, personal freedom, and youthful defiance, resonating with fans who appreciate their unapologetic attitude.

Fourecks has toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, and has shared stages with notable acts like The Strokes, The Killers, and The White Stripes.
