Fotograafiat is the art, practice, and science of creating images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film. The result is either a still photograph or an image fixed in permanent form on material such as paper, or to be viewed at a later date using an electronic device.

This process involved exposing light-sensitive silver-plated copper sheets to light, creating a permanent image.
