Forsterkningsnivåer, often translated as gain levels, refer to the degree to which a signal is amplified. In electronics and audio systems, a gain stage increases the amplitude of an input signal. The gain level determines how much the signal's power or voltage is increased. A low gain level results in a small increase, while a high gain level causes a significant amplification. This amplification is typically expressed as a ratio or in decibels (dB). For example, a gain of 2 means the output signal is twice the amplitude of the input signal. A gain of 20 dB means the power has increased by a factor of 100.

The concept of gain levels is crucial in various applications. In audio equipment, such as amplifiers and microphones, gain controls allow users to adjust the signal strength to an optimal level.
