Forrasztott

Forrasztott is a Hungarian verb that translates to "soldered" in English. It refers to the process of joining two or more metal items together by melting and putting a filler metal (solder) into the joint. The filler metal, which has a lower melting point than the base metals, is melted and flows into the gap between the pieces by capillary action. Once cooled, the filler metal solidifies, creating a strong electrical and mechanical bond between the pieces.

This technique is widely used in electronics for connecting components to printed circuit boards, as well as in plumbing for joining pipes. The solder used is typically an alloy of tin and lead, though lead-free solders are increasingly common due to environmental and health concerns. The soldering process requires heat, usually applied by a soldering iron, to melt the solder and facilitate the joining. The term "forrasztott" can also be used metaphorically to describe something that is strongly connected or united.
