Forattribuutti, in HTML terminology, is the for attribute used on a label element to link the label to a specific form control. The value of the for attribute must match the id of the target control, creating an explicit association between the two.

The primary purpose is to improve usability and accessibility. When the label is associated with a control, clicking the label focuses or toggles the control (for example a text input, checkbox, or radio button). Screen readers announce the label in connection with the control, helping users understand the purpose of the control.

Usage and examples are straightforward. A label can reference a control like this: <label for="email">Email</label> <input id="email" type="email" name="email">. The for attribute should reference the exact id of the control. Alternatively, if the control is placed inside the label element, the association is implicit and the for attribute is not used.

Notes and limitations: the id values must be unique within the document, and the for attribute only works with form controls that have an id (such as input, select, textarea, and button). If a control is nested inside the label, the for attribute is unnecessary and should be omitted. This approach supports both accessibility requirements and a clearer form layout.
