Flyvehastighed refers to the speed of an aircraft relative to the air it is flying through. This is distinct from ground speed, which is the aircraft's speed relative to the surface of the Earth. The difference between flyvehastighed and ground speed is primarily due to wind. If an aircraft is flying into a headwind, its ground speed will be lower than its flyvehastighed. Conversely, a tailwind will increase the ground speed.
