Flabellata

Flabellata is a broad grouping of ciliate protozoa within the phylum Ciliophora. The name "flabellata" refers to the fan-shaped arrangement of cilia, particularly those found on the anterior portion of the organism, which are often used for feeding. This characteristic morphology is a key feature distinguishing members of this group.
