Filharmoonia

Filharmoonia is a professional symphony orchestra based in Veridia's capital, founded in 1992. It brings together approximately 75 musicians from across the country for seasonal programs and special projects. The ensemble's mission is to present a balanced repertoire of classical masterworks, modern compositions, and commissioned works, while engaging diverse audiences through education and outreach initiatives.

The orchestra operates as a non-profit cultural institution governed by a board and artistic director; day-to-day operations are led by a general manager. Auditions are open to musicians through competitive processes. The artistic program is planned by the music staff in consultation with guest conductors and composers.

Filharmoonia's concert season includes symphonic concerts, chamber music, family programs, and occasional cross-arts collaborations. It performs at the Veridia National Concert Hall and goes on regional tours, with occasional international appearances. The ensemble maintains a recording schedule with national labels.

Repertoire emphasizes the classical canon (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven), Romantic works, and 20th-/21st-century pieces, with a focus on living composers. The orchestra has premiered several commissions and collaborated with contemporary dance and theatre ensembles.
