Ferricarboxymaltose

Ferricarboxymaltose is an intravenous iron replacement product used to treat iron deficiency anemia. It is a colloidal iron(III) hydroxide complex in which carbohydrate moieties are attached to the iron core. This structure allows for rapid and controlled release of iron into the bloodstream. Ferricarboxymaltose is administered by slow intravenous injection or infusion.
