F1Hybride is a term that has emerged in discussions surrounding Formula 1 racing, particularly concerning the technological evolution of the sport. It refers to the current power unit regulations implemented in Formula 1, which are characterized by a combination of a highly efficient internal combustion engine and a sophisticated energy recovery system. This hybrid system aims to enhance performance while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and emissions, reflecting a broader trend towards sustainability in motorsport.

The core of the F1Hybride power unit is a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine. This engine is complemented by two energy recovery systems: the Motor Generator Unit-Kinetic (MGU-K) and the Motor Generator Unit-Heat (MGU-H). The MGU-K captures kinetic energy generated during braking and converts it into electrical energy, which can then be deployed to provide a temporary power boost. The MGU-H recovers energy from the exhaust gases, specifically from the turbocharger, also converting it into electrical energy to either power the MGU-K or reduce turbo lag.
