Exspirationsluft
Exspirationsluft, also known as exhaled air, is the mixture of gases released from the lungs during exhalation. It is a byproduct of cellular respiration, the process by which the body converts food into energy. The primary components of exspirationsluft are nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor. While the composition of inhaled air is roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and less than 1% carbon dioxide, exspirationsluft contains a significantly higher concentration of carbon dioxide and water vapor. The percentage of oxygen in exhaled air is also reduced compared to inhaled air.
The process of breathing involves two main phases: inhalation and exhalation. During inhalation, the diaphragm contracts,
The temperature of exspirationsluft is typically slightly warmer than the ambient air due to body heat. It
