Everqueen

Everqueen is a significant figure within the lore of Warhammer Fantasy Battles and its successor, Age of Sigmar. She is the immortal ruler of the High Elves and later the Elven kingdoms of Ulthuan. Her true name is not commonly known, and she is primarily referred to by her title. Everqueen has reigned for millennia, guiding her people through countless conflicts and periods of prosperity.

Historically, she was a figure of immense power and grace, deeply connected to the life force of Ulthuan itself. Her presence was believed to be vital to the health and stability of the island. She resided in Avelorn, one of the seven provinces of Ulthuan, and was often depicted as a wise and benevolent, though sometimes stern, leader. Her subjects held her in deep reverence, and her pronouncements carried great weight.

In the Age of Sigmar, following the End Times and the destruction of the Old World, Everqueen's role evolved. She is now a central figure among the Lumineth Realm-lords, a faction of the Aelves (the Age of Sigmar equivalent of Elves) who inhabit the realm of Hysh. While her fundamental nature as a long-reigning, powerful Elven ruler remains, her responsibilities and the context of her rule have changed to reflect the new reality of the mortal realms. She continues to be a symbol of Elven resilience and authority, leading her people against the forces of Chaos and other threats.
