EuO1x

However, in EuO1x, oxygen atoms can be present in excess of this ideal ratio, leading to the designation "1x" where x represents a variable amount of oxygen deficiency. This non-stoichiometry significantly influences the material's properties.

The presence of oxygen vacancies in EuO1x can alter its magnetic and electrical characteristics. Pure EuO is a ferromagnetic insulator with a Curie temperature of around 69.5 K.
