Esimerkkiset are a hypothetical set of proto-Verrosted dialects proposed by linguist Jorma Penttilä in his 1968 dissertation "Morphological structure of the Verrosted languages". The name "Esimerkkiset" is Finnish for "example languages" or "example case". They are considered to be a hypothetical coherent language family, claimed to be related but distinct from other known languages of the Verrosted or similar language families.
