Erschließungsbeiträge
Erschließungsbeiträge are financial contributions levied by municipalities in Germany to cover the costs associated with developing undeveloped land or improving existing infrastructure. These contributions are primarily used for the construction or substantial expansion of public roads, sidewalks, street lighting, and sometimes sewage and water supply systems in areas that are either new building sites or require significant upgrades.
