Erootseid

Erootseid, also known as the Erootseid River or Erootseid Creek, is a small watercourse located in the southern region of the Netherlands, specifically within the province of South Holland. The name "Erootseid" is derived from the Dutch words *eer* (meaning "earlier" or "former") and *seide* (an archaic term for a small stream or creek), though its exact etymology remains debated among linguists.

The Erootseid originates in the polders of the Alblasserwaard region, where it flows through agricultural lands before eventually draining into the Oude Maas, a distributary of the Rhine River.
