Epsons
Epson is a Japanese electronics company that primarily manufactures printers, scanners, projectors, and other computer peripherals. It is a subsidiary of the Seiko Group, a name perhaps more widely known for its timepieces. The company was founded in 1942 as an electronics repair shop and later expanded into watch manufacturing and the production of watch components. Its involvement in the printing industry began in the 1960s when it developed the world's first miniature electronic printer, the EP-101, which was initially intended for use in chronometers.
The company officially adopted the name Epson in 1975, drawing inspiration from its early electronic printers.
