Enutnuts

Enutnuts are a fictional species native to the planet Xylos in the Andromeda galaxy. They are small, rodent-like creatures, typically measuring around 30 centimeters in length, with dense, iridescent fur that changes color depending on their mood. Their most distinctive feature is a pair of large, multifaceted eyes that allow them to see in a wide spectrum of light. Enutnuts possess a unique biological ability to absorb and metabolize ambient energy, which they then store in specialized organs for later use. This energy absorption allows them to survive in environments with scarce traditional food sources.

Socially, Enutnuts live in complex burrow systems called "lumina" and communicate through a series of clicks and whistles, augmented by subtle shifts in their fur coloration. They are known for their collaborative nature and have developed intricate societies focused on community well-being and resource sharing. Their primary diet consists of mineral deposits found deep within Xylos' crust, which they excavate using their sharp, retractable claws. Despite their small size, Enutnuts are surprisingly resilient and have adapted to Xylos' fluctuating atmospheric conditions. Their reproductive cycle is tied to Xylos' twin moons, with mating occurring only during specific lunar alignments.
