Entanglitud

Entanglitud is a term used in theoretical and speculative discussions to describe a dimensionless measure of quantum entanglement in a multipartite system. It aims to quantify the strength of nonclassical correlations between subsystems and is typically defined to lie in the interval from 0 to 1, where 0 indicates no entanglement and 1 denotes maximal entanglement for the given local dimensions.

Definition and computation: In a bipartite system AB with local dimensions dA and dB, entanglitud E can be defined as the ratio E = E_mon(ρAB) / Emax(dA, dB), where E_mon is an entanglement monotone (for example, entanglement entropy for pure states or a convex-roof extension for mixed states) and Emax is the maximum attainable value of that monotone for the given dimensions. In practice, one may use a readily computed surrogate such as E = N(ρAB) / Nmax, where N is negativity, or E = EF(ρAB) / EFmax. The value is obtained from the density matrix ρAB, typically via quantum-state tomography.

Properties and interpretation: Entanglitud is designed to be comparable across systems of different sizes, but it depends on the chosen monotone and normalization. For pure states, maximal entanglitud corresponds to a maximally entangled state (e.g., a Bell pair); for mixed states, it decreases with decoherence and noise.

Context and usage: The term is not part of standard quantum-information nomenclature and is used in some theoretical discussions or fictional contexts to illustrate comparative entanglement. Researchers typically prefer established measures such as entanglement entropy, concurrence, negativity, or entanglement of formation.
