Ensüümidefekte

Ensüümidefekte, also known as enzyme deficiencies, are a group of inherited disorders that occur when a person's body cannot produce enough of a particular enzyme. Enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts, speeding up chemical reactions in the body. These reactions are essential for life, as they are involved in a wide range of processes, including metabolism, digestion, and energy production.

When an enzyme is deficient or absent, the chemical reaction it catalyzes cannot proceed properly. This can lead to a buildup of toxic substances in the body or a lack of essential substances. Treatment for ensüümidefekte varies depending on the specific disorder and may involve dietary changes, enzyme replacement therapy, or other medical interventions. Early diagnosis and management are crucial for improving outcomes in many cases.
