Enoplioids

Enoplioids are a group of extinct machaeridian worms that inhabited the oceans during the Cambrian period. They belong to the phylum Mollusca and are characterized by their elongated, worm-like bodies. Enoplioids are primarily known from fossil records found in the Burgess Shale in British Columbia, Canada, and other Cambrian fossil beds around the world.

The enoplioid body is typically divided into several distinct regions, including a proboscis or tongue-like structure, a circular or oval-shaped mouth, and a series of paired appendages or tentacles.
