Empeiría

Empeiría is a term derived from the ancient Greek word meaning experience or empirical knowledge. In philosophy, it generally refers to knowledge gained through sensory perception and direct observation of the world. This contrasts with a priori knowledge, which is knowledge independent of experience, often considered innate or derived through reason alone. Empiricism, a philosophical school of thought, emphasizes the importance of empeiría as the primary source of all genuine knowledge.
