Embecovirus
Embecovirus is a genus of viruses within the order Nidovirales, family Coronaviridae, and subfamily Orthocoronavirinae. This genus was formerly part of the genus Coronavirus, but was reclassified in 2020. Embecoviruses are known to infect a variety of mammalian hosts, including humans, bats, and rodents.
These viruses are characterized by their single-stranded, positive-sense RNA genome, which is enclosed within an envelope.
