Elutionslösningar, often translated as elution solutions or eluents, are crucial components in various separation techniques, most notably chromatography. These solutions are specifically designed to facilitate the movement and separation of substances within a stationary phase. In essence, the elutionslösning acts as a mobile phase, carrying the sample mixture through the stationary material.

The composition of an elutionslösning is critical and is tailored to the specific separation being performed and the properties of the compounds being analyzed. Factors such as polarity, solubility, and affinity to the stationary phase dictate the choice of solvent or solvent mixture.
