Eliötkokoelmaa

Eliötkokoelmaa, also known as the Eliötehdas (Factory of Life) in English, is a Finnish nature reserve and museum located in the town of Hanko, Finland. It is dedicated to the preservation and study of the local flora and fauna, as well as the promotion of environmental education and conservation efforts. The reserve covers an area of approximately 100 hectares and is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species, including several that are endangered or rare.

The museum, which is housed in a historic building, features exhibits on the natural history of the Hanko region, as well as interactive displays and educational programs for visitors of all ages. The museum also hosts a variety of events and workshops throughout the year, including guided nature walks, birdwatching tours, and environmental workshops.

Eliötkokoelmaa is managed by the Hanko Nature Conservation Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of the natural environment in the Hanko region. The association works closely with local schools, universities, and other organizations to promote environmental education and conservation efforts, and to raise awareness of the importance of protecting Finland's natural heritage.

In addition to its educational and conservation efforts, Eliötkokoelmaa also plays an important role in the local economy, attracting visitors from around the country and abroad. The reserve and museum are open to the public year-round, and admission is free.
