Synchronous motors can be further classified into non-excited and excited types, with the latter requiring an external power source to create the magnetic field in the rotor.

Elek3trimootorid are known for their high efficiency, which can exceed 90% in some cases. They also have a long lifespan and require minimal maintenance. However, they are generally more expensive than single-phase motors and require a three-phase power supply. Despite this, their advantages make them a popular choice in many industrial applications.
