Elasticitások

Elasticitások is a German term referring to a group of related concepts in economics and physics that measure responsiveness. In economics, it quantifies how much one economic variable responds to a change in another. The most common is price elasticity of demand, which shows how the quantity demanded of a good changes when its price changes. If a small price change leads to a large change in quantity demanded, demand is considered elastic. Conversely, if quantity demanded changes little with price, demand is inelastic. Other economic elasticities include income elasticity of demand (responsiveness to income changes) and cross-price elasticity of demand (responsiveness to changes in the price of related goods).

In physics, elasticity describes a material's ability to deform under stress and return to its original shape once the stress is removed. This property is quantified by elastic moduli, such as Young's modulus, which relates stress to strain in elastic materials. A highly elastic material will deform significantly with little stress and snap back quickly. The concept of elasticity is fundamental to understanding material behavior and designing structures.
