Eksokraattisuus

Eksokraattisuus refers to a philosophical concept that describes a state of being or an entity whose existence or nature is derived from or dependent on an external source, rather than an internal one. It is the opposite of endosraattisuus, which implies self-sufficiency or inherent existence. An eksokraattinen entity does not possess its own independent essence or origin; instead, it is created, sustained, or defined by something outside of itself. This external source could be a deity, another being, a fundamental principle, or a specific set of conditions. The concept explores themes of causality, dependence, and the origin of existence. For example, in some theological frameworks, the universe is considered eksokraattinen because its existence is attributed to a creator god. Similarly, a manufactured object is eksokraattinen in relation to its maker and the materials used.
