Eksisteret

Eksisteret is the past participle of the Danish verb eksistere, meaning to exist. It is used with the auxiliary have to form perfect tenses, as in Det har eksisteret siden 1990 (It has existed since 1990). The simple past tense is eksisterede, for example Ideen eksisterede ikke længe, før den blev forkastet (The idea existed for a short time before it was abandoned). In Danish, the past participle eksistert also appears in certain passive-like constructions and in adjectival phrases, though its main function is to indicate existence up to a point in time when combined with have.
