Ejektoreilla

Ejektoreilla, often referred to as ejectors or injectors, are devices that utilize a high-velocity fluid jet to entrain and transport a secondary fluid. This process, known as the Venturi effect, relies on the principle that as the primary fluid's velocity increases, its pressure decreases, creating a vacuum that draws in the secondary fluid. The combined fluids are then mixed and discharged, often at a lower velocity but potentially at a higher pressure or with increased momentum compared to the secondary fluid alone.

Ejektoreilla are widely used in various industrial applications due to their simple design, lack of moving parts, and reliability. Common uses include vacuum generation in chemical processing, pumping of liquids and slurries, mixing of gases and liquids, and steam jet refrigeration. The primary fluid can be steam, water, air, or other gases, while the secondary fluid can be a gas, liquid, or even a solid particulate. The efficiency and performance of an ejektoreilla depend on factors such as the design of the nozzle and mixing chamber, the pressure and flow rate of the primary fluid, and the properties of both fluids involved. They are particularly advantageous in situations where corrosive or abrasive materials are handled, as their construction can be simplified and robust.
