Egyenáramhoz

Egyenáramhoz refers to direct current in Hungarian. Direct current is an electric current in which the flow of electric charge is unidirectional. This is in contrast to alternating current (AC), in which the direction of the electric charge flow is reversed periodically.

In a direct current circuit, electrons flow from the negative terminal to the positive terminal. The conventional current, however, is defined as flowing from the positive to the negative terminal. Direct current is commonly produced by batteries, solar cells, and certain types of power supplies. It is used in many electronic devices, such as portable electronics, and in applications like electroplating and welding.

The voltage in a DC circuit is typically constant, although it can vary over time in some applications, such as pulsating DC. The unit of electric current is the ampere (A), and the unit of voltage is the volt (V). Ohm's Law, which relates voltage, current, and resistance (V=IR), applies to both DC and AC circuits. However, the behavior of components like capacitors and inductors is different in DC compared to AC. In DC, a capacitor acts as an open circuit once charged, and an inductor acts as a short circuit.
