Egoraptor

Egoraptor is the online alias of Arin Hanson, an American animator, voice actor, and internet personality. He first gained attention in the mid-2000s for Flash animations on Newgrounds and YouTube, notably Metal Gear Awesome, a parody of the Metal Gear Solid series, and other animated shorts that showcased his humor and animation style.

His YouTube presence expanded with Sequelitis (2010), a series of video essays analyzing the design and storytelling of game sequels. The videos helped popularize long-form video essays among game creators and fans.

In 2012, Hanson co-founded the YouTube channel Game Grumps with Jon Jafari (JonTron). The series features long-form Let's Play-style videos and comedic commentary; Dan Avidan joined as a full-time co-host in 2013, and the channel has since produced numerous episodes and spin-offs.

Beyond Game Grumps, Egoraptor has continued creating animation and collaborating on various projects, remaining a notable figure in early internet animation and the broader Let's Play and game-commentary communities.
