Ebatäpsusteni

Ebatäpsusteni is an indigenous language spoken in the Andaman Islands, a territory in the Bay of Bengal. The language belongs to the Great Andamanese language family, which is classified as a language isolate. Ebatäpsusteni is one of the smaller languages spoken in the Andaman Islands, and its status is considered vulnerable by linguists and anthropologists.

Ebatäpsusteni is one of the two surviving languages of the Greater Andamanese branch, the other being Aka-Jeru. The language was previously spoken on the islands of Rutland and Roostock, among other smaller islands in the area. With the decline of the language, its use has become increasingly limited to older speakers, who are often elderly and few in number.
