EUREF
EUREF is a network of European geodetic reference points. It was established to provide a unified and consistent geodetic reference system for Europe, ensuring accurate and reliable spatial data across the continent. The primary goal of EUREF is to maintain and disseminate the European Terrestrial Reference System (ETRS89) and the European Vertical Reference System (EVRS). ETRS89 is a geocentric, time-dependent coordinate system that is fixed to the stable part of the Eurasian tectonic plate. EVRS is a vertical reference system based on a common height datum.
The EUREF network consists of a dense distribution of permanent GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) stations,
The establishment and maintenance of EUREF have significant implications for various applications, including geographic information systems
